Are you really sick of SPAM?
First, a warning to spammers!
If you spam any of our users even one time and we get a complaint about it, the
offending IP address and maybe even the entire domain will be blocked. We
maintain a zero tolerance policy with spammers. It wastes our system resources
which wastes our money and it wastes our users' time and money. Anything that
we can do to stop spammers, we will.
All Micro.Com users's email accounts are protected by the ORDB, SpamCop, Spamhaus Block List, and Vipul's Razor spam filtration services.
Sometimes we may block a legitimate email that is sent from a server that is tied in with a massive spammer. This is usually only temporary and few and far between. We apologize for this, but hopefully you will understand the necessity for getting tough with spammers. We don't tolerate spam and neither should you. Legitimate mail providers, such as ourselves, choose to combat spam rather than spend more money on bandwidth and speedier servers to keep up with all the junk we have to process. This keep our costs down. If we allowed all the spam targeted at our users, our prices would easily double. The vast majority of our customers understand this, appreciate our low prices, our dedication to the reduction of spam, and so we've developed this no tolerance policy on spam.
How to submit spam for filtration.
Micro.Com Specialists, LLC supports SpamCop which is a very effective and well known method of reporting spam and stopping it from reaching others.
SpamCop helps you punish spammers for sending you their junk mail. This service is free. Often, spammers lose their accounts and even get charged "cleanup fees" by their internet providers. In addition, reporting spam to SpamCop results in blacklisting the sites responsible for allowing it to be sent. Unfortunately, life is still too easy for the spammer. They sign up with new accounts as fast as we shut them down. By reporting spam, you can help to turn the tide. SpamCop makes this otherwise slow and technical task quick and easy.
See http://spamcop.net/anonsignup.shtml to signup and start reporting spam.
Please note that the old system, sending reports to spam@micro.com, is no longer available as this system is much better.
