Micro.Com Web Page Uploading: Logging into the server

Finally, you're ready to start the uploading process. At this point, the only window that should be on your desktop from any previous steps should be the dialer window - you need to be connected to the internet at this point.
Click the Start button, then Programs, then the WS_FTP program group, then
WS_FTP to start it up.
|
After you get past the license window, WS_FTP wants to know where you're going
to FTP to. You should fill out the box as shown at the right, replacing
"username" with your username and the supplying the correct password. Keep
in mind that your username and password on the WWW server may not be the same
as your email username and password. You should have been given your
username and password when we setup your WWW area.
If you want to, you can put a checkmark in the box next to "Save Password". This will make WS_FTP remember what you typed in the Password box. Otherwise, you'll have to type your password every time you connect. This is a possible security risk - I'll leave it up to you. When you've got the box setup properly, click on Save, then on OK. WS_FTP will connect to the server and login. |
