Dialup Internet Setup Instructions

Windows XP Dialup Configuration Sheet.


Windows XP is very configurable and can be set up in different ways.  The follow are the basic steps you need to configure your computer for dialup service.


You will need the following information.

  •  ISP Name: Micro.Com
  •  Your Micro.Com username@micro.vbs.net .
  •  Your Micro.Com password, which you requested upon signing up.
  • Phone number to dial: 816-224-1111 unless you are on the Nationwide Plan.  If that is the case, the Kansas City Missouri Area dialup numbers are 816-585-0005 and  816-425-1045.  See http://www.micro.com/dialups.html for more numbers.


  1. Click on Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click on Internet Options.
  4. Click on the Connections tab.
  5. Click Setup.
  6. Fill in the blanks with the information from above clicking Next or Finish at the end of each section.


That's it!  When you click on Internet Explorer your dialup connection will start.
